Our speaker will be Professor Charles Bolton andthe topic will be “Home Front Battles: World War II Mobilization and Race in the Deep South”. Thetalk will explore the impact of World War II on Southern life along with itscomplicated effects and legacies across the region. Formerly at USM, Dr. Bolton is currently aprofessor of History at UNC Greensboro. He has written several books on southern history, particularlyMississippi history.
