Live Fire in the Pass is a community event designed to benefit local nonprofit groups in Pass Christian, MS.
The 2024 Live Fire in the Pass benefits Gone Fishing Ministries and Woodside Wildlife Rescue.

Howcan we make our community a better place to live for everyone?  How can we help everyone in our communitythrive?  How can we reach out to haveconversations that include different viewpoints? 

Inan effort to answer these questions, we hope you will join us for the nextinstallment of Red Beans and Blue Jeans Community Conversation on Sunday, September15th from 2-4pm at the St. Stephen’s Community Cultural Center.  Although our focus is on the Pass Christian(39571 zip code), everyone is welcome to join in the conversation.  Local community leader Jamion Burney will beour moderator.

The Pass Christian Historical Society will holdits monthly luncheon on Monday, September 23rd at 12 pm (Noon).   Ourspeakers will be bioarchaeologistDr. Jennifer Mack and Lida Gibson from the Asylum Hill Project.  Their presentation will cover the latest discoveries at Asylum Hillas well as information from similar bioarchaeological projects.

The HistoricalSociety is located at 201 East Scenic Drive in Pass Christian. People of all ages are welcome to join in the 3rd Annual Butterfly Count for southwest Harrison County, Mississippi. This is an official Butterfly Count that will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the North American Butterfly Association. Mr. Craig Marks, author of The Butterflies of Louisiana, will guide us through a variety of coastal habitats and assist in the identification of the butterflies. This is a family-friendly learning experience. Join us for the whole day or for just a portion. No experience is necessary. We will meet in front of the Pass Christian Library (111 Hiern Avenue) at the start of the event at 9:30am.
We are asking those attending to provide their own transportation. You will be responsible for your own safety. Please wear boots or closed-toed shoes (water shoes are fine). Lunch will be on your own and we encourage everyone attending to bring water and snacks. Participants are encouraged to bring a bug net, binoculars and a camera to help identify the butterflies.
Pre-registration is required. Please send an email to jenbuck3@gmail.com to sign up. There is a $3 registration fee for the event (please bring exact change if possible)
