The Pass Christian Theatre Project (PCTP) was formed when the City of Pass Christian Mayor Chipper McDermott along with the Board of Aldermen offered PCTP the auditorium at the Randolph High School on Clark Avenue as a home for this new community theatre. Randolph was the city’s first African-American public school built in 1928 and restored following hurricane Katrina. Today the center houses a senior citizen and community center, and now the PCTP.
The Pass Christian Theatre Project has two goals:
- To bring live theatre to Pass Christian residents and neighbors in surrounding coastal communities and cities.
- To attract theatergoers to the Pass from surrounding areas to heighten awareness of the beauty of Pass Christian along with its numerous eateries, attractions, events, and organizations. With increased tourism comes increased revenues for our businesses and city.
We hope you join us as we strive to enrich and grow the theatrical arts in Pass Christian.
