As part of this grant, the library will host a Lunch and Learn screening of the shorebird documentary Flyways from PBS. Following the screening, AmandaDouglas with Audubon Delta will demonstrate some freeapps, activities, and library resources you can use to help identify localbirds. The Lunch and Learn will be held onWednesday, October 2nd at 12pm (noon) in the conference room of thePass Christian Public Library. TheFriends of the Library will sponsor a light lunch for those attending thescreening. Shorebirds fly thousands of miles each year along ancientand largely unknown migratory routes called Flyways. But their populations arecrashing amidst climate change and urban development. In the new PBS Nature documentary, Flyways,we will follow a conservation movement of bird-loving experts and citizenscientists as they mobilize to the challenge of understanding and savingshorebirds.
